The aim of this study was to investigate the precision of neural control in human vertical squat jump. A computer simulation has to be used because it is impossible to carry out experiments in human from both ethical and technical reasons. The first, a detailed model of human body was developed based on medical data. Then the optimal control theory and numerical optimization were used together to find the neural control pattern, which generated maximum high jump. The simulation is computationally very expensive and for that reason it was implemented on super combine cluster with 2048 processors Pentium.
